High honour for Rotarian

23/07/2008 4:02:00 PM
Mil Lavicka was awarded “the highest honour the Rotary Club can confer on a member” when he was made an honorary member “in recognition of his many years of outstanding service to the club”. The award was made at a special presentation on Thursday.

Mr Lavicka, one of only two remaining charter members of the local club, has served Rotary for more than 40 years and according to fellow member David Wass has always been a dedicated and hardworking member.

“When I was president, Mil’s help and advice was extremely valuable and he always had a straight answer,” Mr Wass said.
