Kate crowned Queen of the Green

23/07/2008 4:10:00 PM
LADIES BOWLS: Sandra Tippett and Kate Hocking played for Queen of the Green last Thursday with Edna Hammond as marker.

Kate got off to a good start but Sandra fought back, with the score 13-11 on the 13th end and 19 all on the 20th. Kate then sprinted and held the lead for a 31-24 win. Congratulations Kate, good try Sandra and thanks for marking the game Edna.

The date for Association Day has been changed to Thursday July 31. Could all ladies please come to the club about 4pm on Wednesday August 30 to assist in setting up the tables, and any help from the men to move tables would also be appreciated.

Due to the association date change our next meeting will be held on the August 7. Nomination sheets for Mixed Pairs and Fours are on the board.

It is the last chance for tickets in the Christmas in July Competition that will be drawn tomorrow.

Tickets at $1 each are available from any lady bowler or at the club. Ladies please have your sold tickets and money at the club by 5pm Thursday.

Social bowls are on tomorrow and would be a good time for any ladies thinking of playing bowls to come along.
